Trip to celebrate 50 years of twinning with Salon

On the 26th October, HGTA members Celebrated 50 years of twinning with Salon de Provence with a visit to the National Gallery for the Van Gogh ‘Poets & Lovers’ exhibition. This featured work created by Van Gogh over 2 years from 1888 when he went to live and work in both Arles & St Remy-de-Provence. It was on exactly this date 50 years ago that the charter with Salon was signed. Many of the paintings are of the landscapes & corners of nature in this beautiful area of Provence. We hope to be able to visit our friends in Salon again soon and experience it’s beauty in person.
